Cherly’s Herbs Heads to Vegas with Eye on Expansion
One of the largest trade shows of its kind, attended by some of the world’s biggest brands, SupplySide West will allow Cheryl’s Herbs to reach a global audience.
International herbs and botanical extracts purveyor Cheryl’s Herbs will be at the SupplySide West and Food Ingredients North America trade show in Las Vegas from October 25-26.
At the show, Cheryl’s Herbs (WBENC and Organic Certified) will focus predominantly on products designed for functional beverage brands and R&D teams looking to perfect proprietary beverage formulas. At the show they will highlight their botanical ingredient offerings available to beverage producers in quantities of 1-55 gallons. Some of their most popular ingredients include elderberry, passion flower, and ashwagandha.
Visitors to their booth (#1673) will have the opportunity to sample Cheryl’s Herbs signature Fire Cider made with apple cider vinegar from Fresh Thyme Markets (who sells Cheryl’s Herbs retail brand in their 7 St. Louis stores) and ginger, jalapeno, turmeric, garlic grown at local EarthDance Farm.
Recent public interest in tinctures and functional beverages made with elderberry, passion flower, ashwagandha, kava kava and more of Cheryl’s Herbs’ natural botanicals has given them an optimistic outlook heading into SupplySide West. With 46.11 billion dollars in growth expected in the functional beverage market between 2021-2025, Cheryl’s Herbs is well poised for expansion. Thanks in part to a recent investment from WEPOWER Capital, Cheryl’s Herbs has increased their production and retail facilities to more than 18,000 square feet and added two full-time employees allowing their team to fill more orders in larger volumes.
Now, CEO Tiffany Jones (who purchased the company in 2019) is ready to pursue business partnerships with global beverage manufacturers like Anheuser-Busch and Nestle-Purina along with flavor companies Sensient, pharmacy chains, and other R&D formulation teams. Working with some of the world's largest companies will allow Cheryl’s Herbs to have an even greater impact in their hometown by supporting local farmers like EarthDance and, in turn, the local economy.
Jones says that the level of community impact motivates her and her team: “When we source from local farms like EarthDance, we not only get high quality produce, but we see the way our business contributes to the larger local economy. That makes us proud, and helps us stand out on a national and global stage like SupplySide West because everyone who works with us will do so knowing small farmers in St. Louis, MO are benefiting.”
