WEPOWER has teamed up with local organizations Arch City Defenders and Clark-Fox Family Foundation to share resources and updates as families across St. Louis navigate COVID-19.
The economic, health, and educational injustices that poor people and communities of color have been bearing the brunt of for centuries are now exacerbated by the brutal reality that these systems were never designed in service of them. Now is the time to act collectively to provide rapid responses and immediate services while also demanding long-term systemic change.
We are trying our hardest to collect, organize, and share resources with you all. Check this page every few days to see if there are new resources and updates that you find useful. Feel free to pass this webpage along to any and everyone you know. If there are resources and updates that you want others to know about, please send them our way via community@wepowerstl.org or text us at (314) 648-2973. Also email or text us if there are immediate needs or emergencies that can’t be supported by the resources we share on this page.
ArchCity Defenders (ACD) is a holistic legal advocacy organization that combats the criminalization of poverty and state violence, especially in communities of color. ACD’s foundation of civil and criminal legal representation, social services, impact litigation, policy and media advocacy, and community collaboration achieves and inspires justice and equitable outcomes for people throughout the St. Louis region and beyond.
Founded in 2004, the Clark-Fox Family Foundation supports the growth and prosperity of the St. Louis metropolitan region through research, program development and investments in PK-12, higher education, public health, immigration, social justice and racial equity, community leadership, and entrepreneurship. The Foundation prioritizes programs and investments that empower the end user and leverage each other for broader access and greater impact for our children and community.
